A St. Thomas Love Story

Mackenzie & Zach’s Local Wedding with Big Heart

There’s something beautiful about a wedding that stays close to home — not just geographically, but emotionally. Mackenzie and Zach’s day was the perfect blend of familiar places, genuine connection, and moments that felt anything but ordinary.

They didn’t want a big, over-the-top production. Instead, they wanted their wedding to feel local, simple, and full of heart — and that’s exactly what it was. Our goal? To make sure every photo felt incredible, no matter how laid-back the setting. Because when you have a couple like Mackenzie and Zach, magic tends to follow.

Kicking Things Off at Wimpy’s Diner 🍳💛

We started the day at none other than Wimpy’s Diner,  a retro gem that’s been a local staple for years. And let me tell you, it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for these two. The red booths, the nostalgic vibes, and the way the light streamed in through the windows set the scene… but it was Mackenzie and Zach who brought it to life.

They shared pancakes and laughter, coffee and quiet looks, and somehow made a simple breakfast feel like the beginning of a romantic indie film. Every photo taken there was bursting with personality, raw, real, and joy-filled.

Courtyard Vibes at St. Thomas City Hall 🏛️✨

From there, we made our way to St. Thomas City Hall. The stone architecture and classic facade gave us a beautiful contrast to the casual diner moments. Mackenzie’s dress popped perfectly against the neutral tones, and Zach’s relaxed look tied it all together with that effortlessly cool energy.

We leaned into symmetry, textures, and little pockets of light, and somehow, this quick stop turned into one of the most photogenic parts of the day.

A Stroll by the Tracks at CASO Station 🚂🖤

Next up: CASO Station and the train tracks that run beside it. It’s one of those spots in St. Thomas that feels timeless and it gave us such a great mix of history and open space to play with. Mackenzie and Zach walked hand in hand along the tracks, totally in sync, totally in love.

There were no grand poses, just genuine connection — the kind of quiet, unspoken love that says everything in a glance.

Golden Hour at Waterworks Park 🌳✨

We couldn’t resist stopping at Waterworks Park just as the light started to soften. The greenery, winding paths, and peaceful atmosphere gave us space to breathe and capture some truly dreamy moments. It was slower here — gentle and romantic — the kind of setting that let Mackenzie and Zach just be together.

Whether they were walking, laughing, or simply holding each other close, the shots from this part of the day are full of warmth and softness.

Wrapping Up with Jumbo the Elephant 🐘❤️

And of course, no St. Thomas session would be complete without a visit to Jumbo the Elephant Memorial. It might not be the first place that comes to mind for wedding portraits — but that’s what made it so perfect.

With golden hour casting a warm glow, the scene felt both playful and iconic. Mackenzie and Zach embraced the fun of it, laughed through the whole thing, and turned one of the town’s quirkiest landmarks into the backdrop of some of our favorite frames.
